Writer's Block: I'm A Loyal Customer?

What makes you loyal to a brand?

I'm not. That's stupid. A smart consumer favors a product based on the product itself and it's company's business practices. Is this not obvious? Or are enough people affected by advertising, popularity and sentimentality enough to stop properly thinking for themselves; hence making this a valid question?

We need more intelligent successful sociopaths.

Loyalty
I don't think it's stupid and I don't think it has anything to do with advertising.

Re: Loyalty
We try to be loyal when it comes to some brands such as Sony and Panasonic, but that has nothing to do with the advertising or popularity and everything to do with the quality and reliability their products usually possess... I hate Walmart, but I shop there because the prices are right and the store is really close to home. *sigh* Quality matters. Fuck brands unless they are known for great quality and continue to show that quality in their new products... Errr, something like that. LOL

P.S.

One word: iPod.

But, then again, I don't have one and it's a sort of monopoly so it could be viewed differently than my first impression I guess.
