Writer's Block: High notes

If you could only listen to one music genre for the rest of your life (classical, rock, jazz, etc.), what would you choose, and why?
The only answer that makes any sense to me is avant-garde music, providing of course that it's truely on the edge of pushing into new territory. Why would you bother with staying in any other genre when they're all dammed to become stagnate? The avant-garde is also unique in the fact that all genres can also be avant-garde or that some can be so different that the only way you can describe them is as avant-garde. The trickiest part is finding the types of avant-garde music that are right for you. You would think that everyone would like going into new areas, at least as far as listening to it. But too often I can't believe how many people are so unadventurous. And some people think I'm strange. The weirdest.
